Marla Dearing
CEO | Disaster Recovery Consultant
Marla is the Owner and CEO of Justice Claims Consulting & Disaster Recovery Services. She also works as a disaster management consultant assisting school districts, churches, non-profits, and municipalities with their disaster recovery and pre disaster planning. In this role, she navigates through the required steps that it takes to document the loss and establish the monetary impact after disaster strikes. She works with the clients to ensure that all forms of recovery are exhausted including insurance proceeds and any available government grants such as FEMA’s Public Assistance program. She also conducts Hazard Mitigation studies to identify any potential improvements that can be made to the damaged structures in order to make them stronger and/or better prepared for catastrophic events. She helps assists in the development of disaster plans tailored to meet the needs of the clients.
Marla’s legal experience including her eight year tenure as the Court Coordinator for the Orange County, TX Court at Law, and most recently, her role as Process Operations Compliance Specialist at BASF, provide her valuable insight into reading and interpreting the rules and guidelines that govern the grant programs, while ensuring compliance with local and federal procurement laws.
In her spare time, Marla enjoys reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Heather Bergeron
Public Adjuster | Disaster Recovery Consultant
Heather joined the Justice Claims Group team in 2021. She has been a licensed public adjuster since 2018 and has worked in multiple states as an advocate for her clients. She also has extensive experience in accounting practices and ensuring that claims are documented efficiently.
She is happily married and has 2 incredible children.
Lauren Dearing
Claims Manager | Contents Specialist
Lauren joined the Justice Claims Group team in 2020. She works closely with the estimators and field teams to ensure that every claim is properly documented.
Lauren also works to document any contents that are lost or damaged as a result of a covered peril. Lauren is mom to three incredible kids.
Carlee Dearing

Carlee is a recent graduate from Texas A&M University and is on the marketing team at the Justice Claims Group. From interior design to company apparel, Carlee helps get the word out about how the Justice Claims Group can help in the disaster recovery process!
